Looking for a frugal and healthy cereal to feed your family?
Give this homemade cereal a try!
1/2 cup of olive oil
1/2 cup of honey
Bring to a boil on the stove top.
Add (about) 6 cups of uncooked oatmeal.
Serve as you would regular cereal.
Options to add:
raisins
nuts

We like to add a box of Wheaties.
Sometimes I make an “apple crisp” topping
to add to it.
butter, brown sugar, and oatmeal mixture
cook on stove top

SWAGBUCKS
Are you using SWAGBUCKS as your everyday search engine?
I have earned hundreds of dollars off from SWAGBUCKS, by simply using it as my homepage.
There are many things that you can purchase with your SWAGBUCKS, but my favorite thing to get are the $5.00 Amazon cards.
I typically get two Amazon cards per month.
Some people let there SWAGBUCKS accumulate, but I like to get my Amazon cards and get FREE things!
Points are awarded randomly, and Fridays are Mega Swagbucks Days.
450 points will get you an Amazon card.
Amazon offers many, many items at low, low prices. It's not uncommon to find things marked down to ONLY a penny.
If you want to make sure that your 'purchase' is totally FREE, then make sure that you account for shipping and handling costs.
Right now, I have been using my Amazon cards to get FREE movies to give as gifts this Christmas.
Here are some of the items I have received for FREE:
school books, regular books, cell phone car charger, cell phone house charger, Smart phone screen protectors, Smart phone touch screen pen, guitar capo, Lego's bionicles, bug zapper, VHS videos and DVDs.

Did you request your FREE Huggies sample?
Don't have any children that wear diapers?
Neither do I!
So, then, why on earth would I request FREE diaper sample?
Well, for one, I do have grandchildren!
Another reason is, I often get company that has littles. I like to be prepared in case they need a diaper in a pinch.
One of my favorite reasons is that I can add these sample diapers to nice little babyshower gift baskets!

Home schoolers, public schoolers and even private schoolers are curious about the phases of the moon.
The moon is able to hold both the awe and curiousity of most people.
Why does the moon look different throughout the month?
Why does the moon appear in different places in the sky on various nights?
Why do we sometimes see the moon right in the middle of the day?
My family loves the moon! We are always peering into the sky, looking for the moon.
It is not unusual for someone to come bursting in the door, yelling, "Hurry, you've got to see the moon!"
Although, my family loves the moon, I am usually at a loss when it comes to answering their questions.
I have plenty of books on the subject, yet somehow the answers always evade me.
Not anymore!
Does your family have a fascination with the moon?
Are you at a loss for words when your children have questions concerning the moon?
Then, you do not want to miss out on this awesome book written by Jay Ryan!
Moonfinder is not only informative, it is a delight!
The story line is about a father and his young son, knicknamed, Moonfinder by his dad.
Listen in on their conversations, and enjoy learning about the moon.
As an added bonus, the illustrations in this book are nothing but amazing!
These illustrations are original paintings done by Jay Ryan.
Not only is he a gifted writer, but he is an amazing artist!
I can't speak highly enough about this book!
Now, I'm off to try to get the kids to put this book down so they can complete the rest of their schoolwork!

Homemade Laundry Soap
There are many different recipes for homemade laundry soap, but this is the one that I like.
one full bar of Fels Naphtha laundry soap
one cup of Borax
one cup of Washing Soda
Grate the soap and put into a large kettle with some water. (Doesn't really matter how much)
Melt soap
Once all soap has melted, then add one cup each of Borax and Washing Soda
Be sure that everything dissolves, then pour mixture into a five-gallon bucket and fill to the top with water.
After setting, it will turn to a clump of gel like substance.
I stir it up really well and use a cup full per load of wash.

Warning!! This Post is About Christmas!
I love Christmas time! I believe that one of the best things that we can do for our children is to
make memories. I want my kids to look back on their childhoods and smile.
Well, Christmas doesn’t just happen around here. It takes a lot of work on momma’s part!
(Do I hear any AMENS???)
With that said, have you started your holiday dinner box?
I have a box in the pantry that says, "Holiday dinners: Stay out!"
Planning out great memories for Christmas takes a some organization and planning ahead!
Pick up a couple of cans of corn or some canned pumpkin this week. Actually, make a list of the
non-perishable food items that you will need in order to have the Thanksgiving and Christmas
dinners that you desire. Keep that list in your purse and each week grab something off from it.
Hey, let’s make some great memories this holiday season!
