Popcorn Balls
We are making some Kool-Aid popcorn balls for Easter treats this year.
These treats are SUPER simple to make!
We make our popcorn balls just like Rice Krispie Treats.
Melt some butter and marshmellows
Mix in Kool-Aid (Just for fun!)
Stir in popcorn
Butter hands and dig in!
I'm making mini-popcorn balls, wrapping in plastic wrap and hiding around the house with some other goodies!

Oreo Truffles
These are SUPER easy to make, and are WONDERFUL to eat!
Oreo Truffles
1 (1 lb.) pkg. Oreo cookies (don't use double-stuffed)
1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, at room temperature
1 tsp. vanilla
1 bag of vanilla chips (or milk chocolate chocolate chips)
Food coloring - optional
Put Oreos and cream cheese into a food processor or blender
(You can also do it by hand if you choose)
Add vanilla
Roll into balls and refrigerate for at least an hour
Melt chips in the microwave
(Or carefully on a stove)
Add food coloring if preferred
Dip Oreo mix into melted chips
(A toothpick works great for this job!)
Place gently on waxpaper
(Or lightly buttered pan)
Try to let them set for 15 - 20 minutes before eating.
(That's the HARD part!)

Kool-aid Playdough
Kool-Aid Playdough
This playdough is AWESOME! I am making up a bunch of it for Easter.
The colors are vivid and the scent is lovely!
This playdough lasts forever too!
I did not use the cream of tartar, and it was still very pliable.
Jelly Bean Necklaces
The kids are making jelly bean necklaces, and learning this poem.
RED is for the blood He gave.
GREEN is for the grass He made.
YELLOW is for the sun so bright.
ORANGE is for the edge of night.
BLACK is for the sins we made.
WHITE is for the grace he gave.
PURPLE is for His hour of sorrow.
PINK is for our new tomorrow.
A bag full of jelly beans colorful and sweet,
Is a prayer, is a promise, is a special treat.

Easter Ideas
I don't typically buy those juice in a box type drinks, except as a treat a Easter.
This year, I plan on buying everyone their own stainless steel water bottle, and filling them up with 100% juice.
What are your Easter ideas?

Living On a Dime
Homemade After Shave
1/4 cup rubbing alcohol
1/2 cup water
1 tsp. cologne, give or take*
Mix rubbing alcohol and water. Add favorite cologne. I just put several squirts in the mixture until it looks like about a teaspoon or two.
*Or add one or two little cotton cologne samples (like Avon samples).
