Shopping at Walgreens can get you more things for less money once you 
start implementing their register rewards program.  Register rewards are 
catalina coupons.  Each store has coined their own phrase for catalinas.  
Rite Aid calls them +UPRewards; CVS calls them Extra Care Bucks, and Walgreens 
calls them Register Rewards (RR).
When I ask people if they know what 
catalinas are, they usually say no, but I tell them they probably do know what 
they are.   After you pay for your stuff at most grocery stores, the clerk gives 
you back your change and receipt, then beside the register, there's a little box 
that spits out coupons for you.  Those are catalinas.  They are typically 
manufacturer coupons, but they can be store coupons.
The Walgreens 
catalinas - RR - can be used for basically anything in the store, which is why I 
call them my Walgreens money.  There are a few exceptions: you can't buy prescription drugs, alcohol, tobacco, and stuff like that.
You can buy shampoo, over-the-counter medicine, detergents, diapers, toilet paper, groceries, and on and on.
