Three Meals Out of One

Yesterday, we had venison with onions, mashed potatoes, macaroni salad, and homemade biscuits.

Today, I am using that left-over venison and onions as a starter for a nice soup.

The left-over soup will be used to make venison stew.

That's three meals out of one pan of venison!

Are you using up your left-overs in creative ways?

Let me hear some of your great ideas!

Be sure and check out more of my posts on frugal cooking here and here.

Leftovers

Leftovers don't have to be dreaded.

They don't have to get boo-ed off the table either!

If you made too much sauce, like you should have, then you

should most certainly have leftovers.

When serving the same meal the next day, add a nice salad, dinner rolls,

grilled cheese, or awesome dessert to improvise the meal.

This makes the meal enjoyable, instead of boring.

Left-Overs

Before you run away screaming, "No, not left-overs," just listen to what I have to say.

'Left-overs' does not have to mean eating the same meal over and over again.

With a little STRATEGIC planning, you can use up those left-overs and have some awesome meals.

Let me give you an example from one of my meal plans:

Monday - meatballs

Tuesday - spaghetti with (left-over) meatballs

Wednesday - chili (from left-over spaghetti sauce)

If there is a substantial amount of chili left-over, then it would go into the freezer to use at a later date.
(It will make a quick and easy meal.  Just pull out of the freezer and pop into the microwave.)
