Walmart Pays You to Shop!

Thank you, Wal-Mart, for paying me $2.00 to take this stuff out of your store!

Wal-Mart pays overage.  That means if you have a $2.00 off coupon, but the item is only

97 cents, then Wal-Mart will pay you the difference, or apply it to the rest of your order.

Since I didn't have anything else to apply it to, they paid me cash.

That's right, Wal-Mart pays you to shop!

Wow, Walmart is really jumping on the Strategic Shopping band wagaon this Christmas season. They have just released information on their new Christmas Price Guarantee. If an item you have purchased goes on sale between the purchase date and Christmas either at Walmart or another competitor, they will give you the difference between what you paid and the cost of the item! So if you paid $15 for that new Disney Princess doll in November and Target put it on sale for $7 in December, just show Walmart the ad and your receipt and they will give you $8 on a gift card.

Here are the rules that apply:

• Purchases must be made between November 1st and December 25th
• You must bring both your receipt and the competitor ad to receive the price match
• Black Friday and internet prices are excluded
• If your items are on layaway, they will lower the price of the items for you

When you receive your basket, look in the very bottom.  The fine print reads,“If you would prefer not to get a subscription, and instead prefer to receive a refund, please fill out the below form and mail within 30 days of purchase with your receipt. Offer valid until 6/30/12.”

Get a  refund check for $9.99!  That’s a profit of 18c!

Some are claiming to receive a check within three weeks!

We get tea bags, maxi pads, cereal, granola bars, vitamins, medicine, shampoo, soap, and on and on and on.

As an added bonus, a lot of  samples come with really good coupons.  Many of the coupons are for more free items!

Homemade 'Little Debbies'

I thought it would be neat to make some homemade 'Little Debbies' for Easter.

I went to our local cake shop (Cindy's Cake Shop) and bought two pounds of

whipped topping frosting.  (This is the type of frosting Wal-Mart uses too.)

I am making browines, then putting two pieces together with the whipped topping

frosting in the middle.  I'm sprinkling the edges with sprinkles, then wrapping up in

Saran Wrap.

I am also doing this with sugar cookies.
