Saturday Sit-Down

Hopefully, you are doing some things to help the upcoming week run smoothly.

I have looked over this past week's meal planning schedule and took note

of the dinners I did not cook.

I am able to transfer those to the new week.

I am checking the calendar so that no scheduled appointments catch me by

surprise.

One shopping trip tends to put my coupon binder into disarray, so I will be working

on some organization in that department.

What are you doing for your Saturday Sit-Down?

Saturday Sit-Down

For today's Saturday Sit-Down, I did a lot of list making.

I made shopping lists for special events coming up next month,

which include Easter and our son, Jesse, turning 13.

I also started a list of things I want to stock up on for this

summer's bar-b-que season, like paper plates, serving dishes, etc.

Maybe you don't need to plan ahead that far, but with a mega

family like ours, a lot of planning needs to take place.

I actually have a notebook that maps out the year,  month by month.

I am able to see at a glance what I will need to plan ahead for.

Christmas is an ongoing project around here.

March is the BEST time of the year to buy all of those tukes,

gloves, boots, slippers and winter clothing.

It's on my list to check out all of these clearance racks and

stock up my gift closet.

What's on your list?

Saturday Sit-Down

The week-end is a great time to stop and review the coming week.

Life runs so much smoother with  little preparation time.

Remember, you don't have to get complicated.  Even a little preparation

is better than none at all.

1. Meal Planning - Again, don't make it complicated.

Glance over the pantry and freezer, then jot down a few suppers.

2. Coupon Organization - Granted, the coupons have a way of

getting out of control.  You don't have to do everything at once.

Go through your coupon binder and throw out all of the old flyers and lists.

3. Look at the Calendar - Glance over your calendar to be sure you know

what is coming up this week.

Remember:  Even a little preparation time is better than none at all.

I like to spend a little bit of time each Saturday preparing for the upcoming week.

Having a plan is the whole idea behind Strategic Shopping.

Do  you have a plan?

This week's meal plan    (Great meal planning tips)

Organize the coupon binder   (Make a Coupon Binder)

Inventory the pantry and freezer   (Great tips)

Make shopping list  (Printable Lists)

Print out my internet coupons   (The Coupon Mom)

These are a few things I need to be sure to do during my Saturday sit-down.
